Barry Taylor (Director)
Barry has been artistic director for a number of local theatre companies in Derbyshire, including Erewash, Gateway and Ilkeston Studio Players. His productions during that time included Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, My Fair Lady, Hair, Grease, and The Great Kileston Millennium Party which he also co-wrote.
While teaching drama & media in two of the county’s comprehensives he also produced many school shows. These included Blood Brothers, Gregory’s Girl, Shakers, Paradise Park, Rockstar, Half A Sixpence, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Bugsy Malone, The Rebels of Gas Street, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and Our Day Out.
He is quietly thrilled that one of his former drama students went on to play Javert in Les Miserables in the West End.
Now retired from full time teaching, while not involved with FOURBLOKES matters, he concentrates on improving his golf handicap.
