Ben Lawrence
Ben joined Fourblokes as a softly spoken psychotic paratrooper in Welcome Home, which some considered a dangerously type cast role. Having thoroughly enjoyed his first Fourbloke outing Ben was delighted to be invited back for Blue Remembered Hills, which required him to regress back to his childhood (not along journey!) as a bully boy 7 year old. Having started acting with the Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company in The Merchant of Venice in 1990, Ben worked his way through The Tempest, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Anthony & Cleopatra and Much Ado About Nothing, culminating as a disturbingly unstable Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet.
Whilst he appreciates the challenge of outdoor theatre, if not the weather sometimes, Ben has also enjoyed roles with The Shakespeare Rep Club in A.A. Milne’s “A Boy Comes Home”, and with The Locko Players as Will Mossop in “Hobson’s Choice”.
When not on stage Ben enjoys dancing like a fool, trying not to crash his motorbike (again) and juggling low priced high quality beans for a well known european supermarket.
